Carolina Ethel Santander Carmona Enegren

Enegren, Carolina Ethel Santander Carmona, 31, mother, wife, daughter, sister, artist and community volunteer, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010, from complications of the H1N1 flu virus. Carolina was born in Chuquicamata, CHILE, and moved with her family to Wichita at age 12. Here she graduated from Wichita Northwest and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wichita State University. After an eleven year courtship, she married her high school sweetheart and soul mate, Paul Enegren. They had two sons and were building a beautiful life together. Carolina had an unparalleled sense of family with close ties to her parents, brothers, and extended family members. She was most extraordinary as a mother with flawless instincts regarding the best interests of their sons. A talented artist, she had many awards to her credit. She was a founding member of the Latina sorority, Kappa Delta Chi, and a member of HALO while at WSU. She belonged to First United Methodist Church, Junior League, and Friends of Rainbows United. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Emilio Carmona and Lidia Huanchicay, Modesto Santander and Clara Cortes. She is survived by her husband, Paul Enegren; sons, Phillip-Antonio (PJ), age 4 and Nicholas-Emilio (Nico), age 3, all of the home; her parents, Modesto Antonio Santander Cortes and Ada Nilda Carmona Huanchicay of Wichita; brothers, David Santander (Ana Caviedes), Mauricio Santander (Diana Barrios) and Alex Santander, all of Wichita; mother and father-in law, Linda and Phil Enegren of Wichita and many extended family members. Christina "Tina" DeLeon

DeLean, Christina, 35, loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010. Preceded in death by her son, Matthew Hernandez. Survived by her parents, Annadell (Stephen) Mooneyham, Rudy DeLeaon; husband, Rey Silva; son, Rey Rey Silva, all of Wichita; sister, Jennifer (Jamie) Lopez-Wells of Gardner; brothers, Alex (Tifanie) Lopez of Shawnee, Stephen Monneyham, Daniel Mooneyham, both of Wichita, and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Fritz Shelton

Shelton, Jr., Frederic William 83, retired petroleum engineer, passed away October 13, 2009. Memorial service, 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, Downing & Lahey Mortuary East. At age 17, Fritz joined the Navy. After his service, he graduated from KU. He was a member of Beta Theta Phi fraternity. Fritz was president of KIOGA from 1975-1977. Preceded in death by first wife, Shirley. Survivors: wife, Kathleen; children, Sallie Strole (Dennis), Amy Cole, Bruce Shelton (Jamie); brothers, William Shelton (Jean), John Shelton; sister, Katherine Jones (Robin); grandchildren, Sarah and Corey Shelton; sister-in-law, Marilyn Mayer. William F. Binter

W. F. Binter, 85, died Sunday, August 23, 2009. Rosary service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2009 and Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Marty and three brothers. He is survived by sons, David (Patricia) and Paul, both of Wichita; daughters, Ann Binter, of Wichita, Jane (Howard) Clark, of Moscow, PA, Maria (Joel) Lutes, of Lee's Summit, MO; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Mykel Denise Cox

Mykel DeniseCox, 4, precious and beloved gift from God, left our presence and took her trip home to Jesus on Saturday, August 22, 2009. Mykel was born April 20, 2005, weighing almost 2 pounds 3 ounces. She faced many health issues in her short life and, although her body was weak, her sweet and gentle spirit was strong. Mykel captivated everyone who met her. She gave us more joy and taught us to love more deeply than we ever imagined was possible. She is survived by her parents, Adam and Melissa Cox; sister, Samantha; brother, J.T.; nurse, VicTori Dennis; grandparents, Jamey Forney, Hal and Sharon Forney, and Steve and Janis Cox; great grandparents, Jean Prothro, John and Annie Prothro, and Bud and Ruth Ann Cox; aunts and uncles, Mindy Forney, Seth and Filena Cox, and Jason and Bree Cox; cousins, Abby, Feynman and Scarlett; and a circle of health and educational professionals, extended family and friends. Visitation with family will be Monday evening, August 24, from 7-9 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 7901 W. 21st North. Zachariah Michael Chance Felton

Zachariah Michael Chance Felton, 11, was born May 20, 1998 in Wichita, Kansas and passed away August 8, 2009 at his home in Park City, Kansas. He was a student at Levy Education Center in Wichita, Kansas. Survivors include his mother Katina Sutter of Park City, Kansas, grandparents Brian and Kelli Neal of Valley Center, Kansas, great-grandparents: Marilyn Tracy of Wichita, Kansas and Roger and Bonnie Sutter of Rogers, Arkansas, great-great-grandparents: Dorothy Sutter of Rogers, Arkansas and Chester Nutter of Springfield, Missouri, aunts; Amie Neal of Valley Center, Kansas, Tieryle Sutter of Wichita, Kansas, Nicole Neal of Chicago, Illinois, Kayla Richardson of Lawrence, Kansas, uncle Travis Neal of Wichita, Kansas and great-uncle Mike Tracy and his wife Sana of Derby, Kansas. Funeral services for Zachariah will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday evening, August 12, 2009 in the chapel at Cornerstone of Wichita, 5318 East 37th Street North.
